Does anyone run a custom sized charge air cooler? I figured it wouldn't be hard to rework how it's captured in the front so a much thicker and wider CAC could be used. Or is the restriction with the stock or aftermarket CAC's not an issue?

I run a bar and plate type that is a direct bolt in for everything but I do know haisley machine sells a bolt in that has 4" inlets and outlets, it's thicker and cannot be used with a A/C condenser but requires not other truck mods. There are allot of other things you can do, my new setup is totally different but it's not finished so I have posted any pics of it.

That's more of what I'm looking for.

I'm not worried about the A/C condenser, that can be relocated.

That's a nice looking truck! I love when people do the conversions.

Thank you. They did a great job with it: perfectly spaced in the rear, frame wasn't extended, everything seals well, ect. The only issue I have is the rear windows can't be actuated from the front.

The entire body will be removed next winter, blasted, then all seams welded, and from the first body line down will be bedlined-to include the entire firewall. There's some rust forming here and there, so I plan on nipping it in the bud and try to ensure a rust free life for a very long time-on top of some great sound deadening characteristics.

This is my first diesel-and it's pretty built-so I have a lot of learning as to what was all done and why. Hence the want for a larger, less restrictive CAC. I only have a 60 psi gauge right now and it pegs that sucker immediately. I've only gone WOT once and I pegged my pryo at 1800*-I don't like that....

The motor pours oil at high boost from the slobber tube-which I believe is a blown seal in the secondary turbo pressurizing the oil return line. Once I get to a place where I can tear the motor apart there will be heavy porting/polishing, intake milled, cam, ect-everything I can do to make big power, with lower egt's, less boost, and maintain a sense of reliably since it's nothing but a tow rig that looks cool.

95Ram-I'd like to know who built it so I know what's all been done with the truck so I know what to expect when I pull it apart next year or to at least know the history of it. It's a cool truck
