I am just about to start building my dash for in my new sled pulling truck, right now i still have the original dash in it but its gutted, im looking for some ideas for a dash and pics would be GREAT, i just nead some ideas so i can get started on it,so all my guages and switches are located in a good spot so i can see them all, and so that the dash is in show condition as well, thanks alot for all your ideas :Cheer::rockwoot:

I don't have any pics of mine on hand right now, but if you look in the May '08 issue of Diesel Power mag you can see what I did. Basically I made aluminum dash blanks to fit were all the stock gauge cluster, heater controls and radio went originally. They fit so the face of the blanks is flush with the back of the snap on bezel, and we brush finished the aluminum. All my switches are where the radio was, the air/fuel kills are where the heater controls were, and just an oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge are where the stock cluster was. Hope this helps.

Marc (he's my brother)...All out puller...I say take out the whole dash and everything else and just mount the guages you need in pods and bolt them right to the fire wall. You won't get much lighter than that! Sure a custom dash would look killer but its really only cosmetic!
