Hello gentlemen,

I'm in need of your advice for my friends truck. It's 1995 4x4 Cummins equipped with 3gsk, #5 plate, laser cuts, stiffer AFC spring no gutting, ARC flow, ATS exh. manifold, HX50 with 66int 77ex, 18 ccm ex housing, 4" freeflow, dragon flies. Ported and polished head. 60lbs springs int and exh.
Will be o-ringed. Full ATS tranny. 50 psi max boost.

I took a look at Hamiltons values and decided to make something of my own design. How do the following numbers sound to you:

Int. 172@.050" with .265" lift
Exh. 200@.050" with .305" lift
This will be ground from original cam and centerlines will be kept stock.

The reason for this is that I do not want to spin the motor up to 3500 but rather achieve max hp at approx. 3200 rpm. Do I have a solid case here or do you see problems with my numbers? Would this cam work in this configuration? I want to test my own design and slip in aftermarket bumpstick only later on if this does not work.
PLEASE NOTE; do not look at my signature here because that is info of my truck and this is for my friend.

Additional information would also be needed:

The head was milled down 0.04" (height 3.75") and since the o-rings will be used then what kind of a headgasket and rings should be used? How about groove depth?

Shop around- give Diesel Pro's (site vendor also! )

Diesel Pro's can be reached at 1-360-722-6816.

You will need to provide engine specs for custom grinds or you can go for their "drop in" grinds. :evil

Sonny down at Bullet Racing (formerly Ultradyne) can more than likely help you out. I know when I feel ambitious I will be giving them a call; we've used their cams for years for everything from racing (circle track) to tractor pulling :Cheer:
