My friend bought a 97 Cummins to part out, so I plan on getting the rear leaves off it along with a few other parts.
The problem I have is my truck has a levelling kit and it has "saggy butt".
About a year ago, I put in an add a leaf and later a 1" block that is bolted into the spring pack and it sits with the rear a tad higher than the front (looks normal)
Since I have these leafs, I'm going to pull out the add a leaf and the 1" block.
I was planning on adding either 2 or 3 leaves.
Anyone done this before? I realize it may stiffen up the ride, but really I don't think I can make it ride any stiffer than it does now.
My Dad did this to a 79 Chev 1/2 ton because he kept on breaking leafs from hauling too much weightl. It's been working fine for 10+ years now.
