custom valve cover for 2006?

Theres the Cummins cover for the marine application,very similar to the 24V style. Looks very good!

The 2006 models dont have a cover over the valve covers like the early models. The main cover is all one piece plastic.

The only problem with installing the marine valve cover on an 06 is you have to find an 03-05 rocker box and convert the injector wiring to the three square plugs instead of the 2 plugs on the 06.

I was looking at an engine harness from an 05 engine and was wondering if it was possible to transplant it on an 06 engine and ECM. I might eventually get both harnesses next to each other and pin check them.

Heres the complete list of part #'s to do the swap.

Supposedly this is all that is needed except some 3/4" breather hose.Guy had less than $200 in everything.

^^^^^^ will only work on the 03-05 like mentioned earlier in this thread.

It's not just a marine cover, it's used on alot of industrial engines. This one came off a large fork truck. To purchase one just PM Snedge on here. I welded all the breather holes shut before this was chromed. I then used a Moroso BBC fuel pump block off on the side of the block where the factory CCV drained back into the engine. Ran a line to a Racor filter from there. But like said before these only work on CR's until 05 unless you convert the harness.
