Custom wastegate install

Well a few weeks ago I got an external wastegate from ebay (dont hate) and me and a buddy fabbed up the piping and used the blocker plates from my H&S EGR delete for the base plates. We just ran the exhaust down to the ground for now, but it runs a lot better on the top end! Havent checked drive pressures yet, and don't have a regulator on it, but i'm very satisfied.

anybody else installed there own custom waste gate? If so post some pics.

Well it's an internal, but it is a custom waste gate to an extent. I opended up the holes quite a bit until there was about only 1/16" overlap between puck and hole. Then ground actuator stop to where it would open a full 90*. Then cut out and modified the cover plate with a piece of pipe cut in half, weld it on and smoothed it all out with a die grinder. We shall see how well it works once the compounds are on.

What gate off of eBay did you use? I've always wondered about those things...

"38mm turbo SUS 304 sport compact waste gate" ...that's going off the picture I took from when I ordered it off ebay.. I had to take it apart and smooth off the burrs on the valve itself because a buddy had one and it seized up I'm him...so far so good. I'll the pic from eBay later tonight...phone is being gay and won't let me upload it.
