ok i read alot about custom cutting your fuel plate, but ive only read in one thread about face hardening it afterwards. is that only needed if you start from a blank slug or if ur cutting the factory plate? is it needed at all?
 
x2 the grinder gets it roughed out and the flapper disc smoothes her back out.
 
real easy to cut, my best help to offer is go slow, dont grind so hard the metal turns blue. just take your time at it and keep it touchable the whole time your cutting it and you wont have any temper issues, not like that thing has a lot of high wear activity anyways, and just smooth it out real nice with some fine flapdisc.
