i was running my truck at WOT the other day and for whatever reason it cut out... almost like it was hitting a rev limiter... could my HO vp be at max? any ideas to what this could be? fuel pressure was in the 10-12 range at WOT also

Those HO pumps tend to fall off at higher RPM, I have found going back to an SO pump does a lot better for those high RPM WOT scenarios. The SO moves more volume at a higher pressure up high.

I just ran into this with one of our sled pulling team members and we ditched his HO pump and went to an SO and it made a world of difference on the track.

Could quite possibly be an overboost situation. My truck was cutting out at high rpm and wasn't throwing any codes. Eventually I had a code come up for overboost. Replaced the map sensor and all is fine now. That being said I wouldn't jump to conclusions on the pump. Check the little things first. See if you have any inactive codes, as the overboost code will be inactive at times and not throw a check engine light.

What boost were you running when it stumbled? Possibly a really dirty air filter could cause the stumbing.
