D80 spindle compatibility?

I have a disc brake D80 DRW from a 2002 that I picked up for cheap. Ends up the axle was off a truck that rolled and has a really bent spindle. The housings are much bigger on the 2002 compared to my 95 and from what I've read the disc brake D80's are more closely related to the AAM's versus the other Dana's. My question is are the spindles the same between the older drum brake D80's and the new disc D80's? The disc D80 has an odd number of splines on the shafts too. I think it was 27 or 28... Does anyone have some information on this axle?

Seeing as how there's confilicting information within those articles I'm not inclined to take too much away from them. Especially since I have 3 D70's that apparently don't exist according to that link.

Also not a single thing is said in regards to the spindles in either article nor the "references".
