Check the rules, "must be from a 1-ton or less" is usually how the wording is.

is a 4500 a 1 ton or ton and a half?or would i be better off to use a AAM 11.5 instead of a 110

I have one in my F-550 Fummins. Its a fairly new axle without a ton of aftermarket available yet. Yukon just started making ring and pinions for them, but as far as any aftermarket axle shafts or spools, you'll be looking at custom one off pieces.

They have a 12.25" ring gear and are built closer to a rockwell type axle with a drop out chunk, they have 2 different axle shaft diameters, axle lengths, and housing thickness for stock F450 (S110L) and F550 (S130L) Spicers. Here is some info in another thread I posted a while back.

I would just run a Dana 80. Cheap, easy, and doesn't break the rule.
