Dana 70 Differences?

I am shopping of a replacement Dana 70 for my 2000 4x4. The salvage yards are saying I need one out of a 2000-2001 4x4 truck. They are trying to tell me that any other one will not work. Is there any differences between years? Is there any difference between a 2wd Dana 70 and a 4x4 Dana 70? Thank you.

I put an 01 Dana 70U I bought from Brad Ingram at Scheids in my 99 and it worked just fine, I switched the entire thing out though, I did not swap parts back and forth. The brakes were different size's, but both drums. The Yoke was the same and so was the tone ring plug. Parking brakes were different and are therefore non-existent.
