I have Dana 80 ARB locker for sale Part # Rd35. It is a 35 spline 3.73 and down ratio. I am going bigger so dont need any more. Price $ 700.00 obo. Plus shiping. Never been on the road has about 15-20 hooks on it, still in perfect condition.

does that accept the stock axles that are in my '97?

and which way do you mean - "and down"???

lower ratio or lower number?

i want to set up my 80 with a locker of some sorts

mainly for towing tho

just want it bullet proof

how would this model work for that application?

thanks, don

this will accept stock 35 spline axles in the non-dually trucks with a 5 speed or 6 speed manual and the dana 80 rear end. It is made for numericly lower ratios like 3.73 down to 3.55. it won't fit the 4.10 trucks because arb doesn't make one to fit 4.10 and up gear sets. if your truck has the above listed specs then yes it will work perfect for you. It is only a year old, i barely used it and i have the original box and all the paperwork for it.

dually trucks have 37 spline axles. You can buy the case halves from arb for the locker with the 37 splines in them and it will work.

Dually trucks in the dodge do not have 37 splines. Even the cab and chassis don't have 37 splines. At least I have never seen a dually with 37 spline in a dodge.

ok, i was always under the assumption that the duallies had 37 spline axles, but if you say they fit the duallies also then maybe it was the fords with the 37 splines. I know personally my dodge single rear wheel had 35 splines, i guess best advice is pull your axle and count the splines real quick if you are unsure.:woohoo:

Yea some of the Fords have 37, all of the dodges that I have ever seen have 35. As they say, when in doubt....

ya it will work, doesn't matter if you had limited slip or open carrier. your going to take it out and replace it with the locker anyways.
