i found a drw 80 out of a 99 3500 for cheap. how much difference is there in the width than my srw 70? what about a cab/chassie truck?

thanks!

I'm not a Dodge guy by any means, but I can tell you the '97 cab and chassis 80 I had was only an inch narrower than my (ford) 10.25, or about the same as a GM 14-bolt.
I have no clue how wide the dodge single rear wheel trucks are.

not ot rob you thread but i'm looking for a cab and chassis .354 dana 80 drw

the cab and chassis rear end is narrower, i dont know how much.

about 5" if i remember correctly. this was compared to Dan's (valair1) 97' cab and chassis dana 80 and my 01' dana 80.

i'm not sure what rear it is. it is a 80 but the truck has a service bed on it but the frame rails are not flat like a c/c truck would have.the owner has no idea of the history of the truck. i know the inner tires are very close to the springs. i guess i just need to try to get some measurments, but that is kind of hard with the tires still on it.

I'll try to get a measurement tommorow. Mines setting on jackstands right now.

I don't know about the DRWs but the Dana 70s & 80s on SRW Rams increased in width at least an inch starting with the 2000 model year. Dodge revised suspensions considerably that year. Then when the disk brakes came out it made them another half inch or so wider yet.

Valair- like I stated above, the cab and chassis 80s are real close in width to a GM 14 bolt (in my Ford). I will try to take some measurements if I remember.
