I recently purchased a 10 lug ford 80 locally it has the 37 spline axles. i am a machinist so i was going to make an adapter to run my 8 lug wheels. Well thats fine except the hubs are larger so my wheels wont go over them. i would just cut a little off the wheels and hubs but then i wont be able to run my center caps. does any body have a cheap way of getting around this.
Thanks Adam

What year is the 10 lug? We purchased one and thought it had 37 spline axles. It didn't had 35's. It was an 80 and it had 10 lug wheels.

We talked about this also LOL. I just footed the bill for a SCS mini-spool.

Was the price you told me correct for the axles and the mini spool?

it should be 37 splines, maybe someone swapped the axles and carrier with a 35 spline unit??? they are some tough axles, i am looking for a 2wd ford F-Superduty as we speak, i almost had one with a tool box body but the car lot decided to "barrow" it 2 days before i came to pick it up and they screwed it up after i made the down payment......so yeah i got to take them to court for that one to get my money back, anyways sorry about the hijack....:hehe:

What about using 8 lug hubs from an F-350??? That would take care of your bolt pattern issue too.

I doubt they had been swapped. It looked too rusted and original to have been messed with.

the rearend SHOULD be a disk brake unit so your gonna have to use a newer SD rearend......but ford still uses the Sterling so thats gonna be another problem......if you can figure it out that rearend will be a beast, now we just got to talk Ford into putting the Dana 110 and Super 70 under the regular Super Dutys, then everyone will have a streetable NASTY rear axle.....
