Wondering if anyone has run into this..
I picked up a Dana 80 for the truck and I have it all tore down to clean and paint it.
Anyhow, I noticied that the backlash felt a bit loose, so I checked it and it's at 0.014".
The axle has low miles and it's all factory shims, so it was setup that way. Wear looks fine on the R&P. Could have run a pattern check, but didn't think of it till now and I have the cover all sealed up.
The books I have call for 0.005-0.010
