I dont quite know how bad the damage or what I did to the Dana 80, but I will tell you how I did it, I was in a Gravel/Dirt ditch 1/2 way in it with my drivers side tires and the passengers side tires on Asphalt, on an angle, and all I did was just roll on the throttle somewhat, however not hard and was on lvl 1x1, and when I got outta the ditch, when I turned the wheel I heard a pop/clunk type of noise, it will roll fwd and backwards under no load ok, but when it idles and tryng to turn, I get the pop or clucnk again, Im waiting to hear from the shop for the BAD NEWS, anyone else have this problem?

I would say spider gears, since that is normally the weakest link. But I did break a shaft without breaking the spiders... so who knows? Did you wheels try to fall off? If not, the shafts should be fine LOL

Update,,,

got a call from the shop earlier, I busted the Posi and need new bearings as well, they replaced the stock ones with Timkin.

On an 80 the wheels won't fall off if you break an axle shaft. Unless you break the hub too!

Well... the broken shaft did mangle my hub. So I guess technically your right LOL But my wheel did try to fall off, luckily my caliper tried to keep it on...
