I posted this in Dodge tech, but probably should have put it this section, so here it is-

I have a '98 Quad Cab 12V that I am fixing up from the previous owners abuse. I also have an '01 Quad cab parts truck that has every bell, whistle, and gadget that was available. With that being said, here is my question.

I want to put all the bells whistles, and gadgets in the '98. Will the dash wiring directly interchange from the '01 to the '98 from the firewall bulkhead connector in?

I can not seem to find a bulkhead connector view to see if the wiring is the same between the two.

all the switches and wiring are different. the headlight switch and depending on auto or not the cupholders, overdrive switch, foglight switch and pretty much everything else is different. you may be able to strip everything out and put everything out of the newer truck in but it will be a big job and you still need to know your stuff when it comes to wiring. I have a 98 12-valve and wanted to put the new style switches and sport interior in and found it to be a nightmare so i didnt. It is possible if you have the time but its all up to you and if you think its worth it.

Like I mention before, it might work if yo swap full dash with wiring and switches.

The cab/underhood main connector is very similar, 01 have only few more wires.
