Buddy just ordered a Val-air DD for his '06 and its in and ready for install...

Just want any and all advice, tips, and things to watch out for while performing install....

Just did my last week. dont know if its guna be the same on your buddies '06. i've got an '01 w the nv5600. anyways the instructions said to remove the washer from behind the pivot ball on the bellhousing. take it easy if ya have to do that. its just mild steel. mine broke when i took it off and then i coudent get one. only place i could find one was the delear and he said i had to get the entire bellhousing. so i ended up easy-out the broken part out of the bellhosing and then machined and pressed a stud and then pined it in the pivot ball. worked out pretty slick it was just a big set back.oh and i dident know that the cross member was tapered. so when ya unbolt it front the frame and trans you have to slide it forward or back befor it will drop out.:banghead: anyways think that the only problens i had. hope it goes well for ya!

keep it really clean during the install, remove the washer behind the pivot ball, make sure you get the disc's in the way they are marked, and remove the shipping blocks under the levers after you get it bolted up. make sure when lining up the disc's with the alignemnt tool you get it centered same when you stabbing the trans get all you gaps even top to bottom side to side.

oh one other thing i just thought of. when we stabed the trans back in we had a fork extention on our fork lift with a cradel welded on the end to hold the trans, anyways we jacked the front of the motor up a little to line everything up and it went right in. first try!:rockwoot: one of those things that will prolly never hapen to me again but it was pretty sweet we dident have to fight w it.

i know the washer behind the pivot ball needs removed on the nv4600 but does the washer on the g56 need to be removed as well?
