Well spent part of the day yesterday tearing down my uncles 3406B Cat with him. She was a knocking like crazy and found out cylinder 2 was shot. The piston was done and the sleeve is scored bad. Also found one sleeve cracked in number 6 and three others starting to score. Well these are some photos I snapped.

3406B was and still is a popular marine engine for workboats in our area. The same basic engine C18 acert 1000HP twinn turbo. Sorry about your motor!
 
Thanks we put another engine in it and had it running again in no time. Its running good but the new one was turned up allot.
