my buddies 03 ford 6.0 mass air equipped gets dead pedal sometimes when pulling out.
it wont rev up and has some white smoke when this happenes.
if you keep it to the floor it will get back to normal sometimes.
Pretty vague symtoms. Several possibilities Turbo, boots, egr, ficm, pedal itself, fuel filters, injector harness.... I'd start by reading the codes and see what comes up.
