i was driving and went to hit the throttle and nothing happen then i floored it and it came to life now is this my vp44 saying its about done or something else? its only done it 2 times

i had the same problem it was the tps. its in that black box about in the middle of the motor and cost $470 to get put on

sounds like the tps to me....ive found them for a little beter than 200, it isint that bad to replaced........

If you can let off and then come back into the throttle and it goes, that's most likely the APPS, TPS, WTFEVER you want to call it. If you know someone with a good scan tool you can have them look at the actual output of the sensor and see if there is a dead spot. If there is, take your motor serial # and just over $300 to the nearest Cummins Parts dealer.

Mine did that when the MAP sensor took a poop

VP44 was frying when I had dead pedal syndrome. Get it checked out good either way TPS or VP44 neither are cheap.
