Truck was smoking more then usual all day, it would haze black at idle, and would cloud out traffic at anything more then 1/8 throttle. At first I thought it was an injector hanging a little, so I decided to drive the 3 hours to get home.

I made it roughly 20 miles before the truck started smoking white, and developed a fuel knock. I pulled to the side of the road and turned the truck off. I pulled a 1688 code and could not get the truck to restart.

Hauled the truck the rest of the way home, and pulled the pump off.

The pump has 26K miles on it, it is roughly 18 months old. I am going to call Industrial Injection tomorrow and see if they will stand behind it, even though I think it is out of warranty.

Oh well. If they won't work with me, I am going to ditch the Hot Rod pump and put on an 027.
