One of our drill crews managed to tear up one of these motors and we're looking to either: 1) have it serviced; or 2) exchange it. The information I recieved from our drillers is that a rod bearing went away on one of the four cylinders and the piston contacted the head very lightly doing nothing more than "cleaning" the top of the piston. Reportedly no damage has been done to the head.
I have contacte Deutz exchange to see what their pricing is on an exchange motor. Anyone who has better advice and i'm all ears.
