DHRA announces national event purses-sled pulling

DHRA Steps up the purses for National Events​

Sled pulling purses for Indy (FASS Diesel Nationals, Utah Diesel Nationals, and Texas Diesel Nationals) were announced today by DHRA President Larry Knight, who told DHRAonline.com that the future of fuel prices has forced him to take a closer look at the schedule, series and purses for 2008. "We need to step it up for the participants, the economy is looking bleak as it is, now we are told that fuel may hit $4.00/gallon this year." Larry continued "They are the show, we need them there and this is a great way to help soften that expense."
When DHRA goes to Indy, Utah and Baytown; the sled pulling purses will be:

STREET DIESEL [$625/525/425/325/225/125/100/100/75/50] =$2,575
SUPER STREET [$1,025/825/625/425/325/225/175/125/100/75] =$3,925
PRO MOD [$1,800/1,500/1,000/750/500/250/100] =$5,900
SUPER MODIFIED [$1,800/1,500/1,000/750/500/250/100] =$5,900

$18,300 TOTAL PURSE
34.56% INCREASE OVER 2007!

Good for the classes...sucks for me as I can't pull with Pro-Mod now seeing I have the twins....wish I would have had it ready for pulling when I had it down to Indy last season!!!!!
