Dies when put in gear

Hey everyone,

After fixing a few other issues from previous posts, I'm still having a dies when put in gear problem. I can start it cold no worries, but when I reach a destination, do what I have to do, then leave it dies when I put it in gear. It will start right back up, but I have to drive with two feet to get it rollin', and then there isn't another issues until shut off.

I'm pretty sure the IP was partially damaged from a recent issue with the lift pump. That is now fixed. New unit, with good fuel pressure. 19 at idle, and 16 under load.

Has the computer on the pump officially gone bad?

Don't know if you have an auto but I had this issue like that on my 99. Found out that the fluid was draining out of the torque conv. Had to start it put in neutral to fill it back up then put in gear.

I knew I had left info out. Yes, it is an auto. Factory at that. I'll have to try what you mentioned.
