What all would it take? Would the frame beable to hold a 6bt, if we boxed it? What kind of axles would be needed?

Yep, it should fit since they put BBC's in them.

I've thought about it alot, and kick myself in the azz for selling the '68 Elky I had when I moved.

You'd put a 12 bolt in it with about 3.07 gears. They can support 1000hp normally.

Yeah but will the axle be able to support the torque? And how do you feel about also putting a Spool in the axle also? This would be a drag racer/daily driver. And that is what I was thinking since they had the BigBlocks in them it should hold up pretty well.

IF you want to make those axles hold, get a custom set by dutchman motorsports in Portland, Oregon, I know there axles will hold about 1500hp..

I have a 55 Buick Roadmaster that I've been kicking around the idea of dropping a 6bt in it, I think that would make a cool criuser. Any one want to call OVERHAULIN for me?
