Diesel Engine design and Tuning technical manuals

I've learned a TON by reading around on these forums as I make the transition from gasoline engine to diesel engine technology.
There are a few technical manuals/books floating around, but I don't know enough yet to really know if a given book is worthy of the "bible" title.
Is/are there a recommended MUST READ?
 
I don't think it is in a book. Just school of hard knocks. Just don't Swole one.
 
If Swole would have trademarked that term he'd have a whole fleet of trucks...
