Diesel is more like alcohol or gasoline?

Im looking at a Mallory fuel pump 140 gph
they got the
650-4150A for alcohol/methanol
or the 650-4150 for gasoline

i wanna use it for diesel which one would last longer?

I use a holley hp black pump for gas on my truck. Call up mallory to make sure which is compatable with diesel for their pumps.
 
the difference in an alcohol pump is it will have non-corrosive internals... methanol is nasty stuff and will oxidize aluminum and eat rubber, etc.

you could use either one IMO

how long has it been running? Any problems w It? I think it's almost like th Mallory both gerotor design but a quick google search showed more failing holley hp so that made me worry! I've been thru a couple of pumps on my daily driver yet. I'd like something more reliable now.
Right now I have a aearomotive SS 11203 on there! Great pump but it's leaking, seems to b a common problem.

I've run holley pumps for yrs. and never had one fail me?? How did you have it wired up?? Did/do you use a relay?? On my truck, I used the stock fuel pump wire so when my turbo timer is in use so is the fuel pump. Also if I want to listen to the radio while waiting in the truck, the pump isn't running.
