Is there a difference in the front coil springs on a 2500 v8, compared to diesel or v10 springs? Im lowering my truck a little and was just curious.

1500 springs are too soft for what i do...

Any idea how much it will lower it? And im assuming it will be softer, will it be as bad as 1500 springs are?

I had 2500 gas springs under my pulling truck when it was first built(by accident). Dont remember how much it lowered the front but with 1500 lbs on the front the frame sat on the axle. they are stiffer then the 1500 springs though. There are 5 different springs for the pickups all with different spring rates for the different appilications

Thanks man, i didnt know there would be that many options to look at.

If i pull i dont hang weight, so im really just concerned about ride height and quality. The roads around here can be pretty nasty and i dont want to be bottoming out the front end all the time:nail:

Just look through the moog book at your local store... That's what I did, find your spring height rate etc, and go from there..

i have 1500 springs on my regular cab and they are 1 inch off the bump stops but i drove it around like 300 miles and never felt it hit but mine def isn't a daily driver.
