Differences between NV4500LD/ NV4500HD

So I picked up a 94 dodge with the 360 and NV4500 LD for Cheap. I would like to swap out my 47re for a NV. My question is what are the differences between the two transmissions (LD vs. HD)? Gear ratios different? Would the LD hold up behind a cummins? Anyone currently running one?

I know the input is different, and the bellhousing obviously won't bolt to the cummins.

I have done quiet a bit of searching and can't find a lot of information on this. I called someone at NV4500.com he said the inputs were different, but there weren't much other differences.

Any other info. Would be much appreciated!

Interesting read..... also interesting you might be able to sell that gas 4500 you have for more than you would spend on a diesel 4500, Jon

Yeah, I might look into selling it and finding a diesel version. I don't want to have to worry about blowing it apart. I will have to try and contact some salvage yards.
