So I was looking at different fuel pumps to install in my truck for lift pumps. I dont want to spend the $500 on an airdog or fass system so thats out. I had my mind made up to buy an aeromotive unit and I probably will be getting one from a member on this site as soon as I talk to him but I started talking to a buddy and he recomended a bosch pump.
The pump in question is a bosch 300lph
here are the specs I found
Part No: 0 580 254 044
Fits: Universal
Description:
M18x1.5 inlet, M12x1.5 outlet
Bosch 044 fuel pumps work with -6AN & -8AN fuel pump fittings. We do not carry these!
Bosch 044 fuel pumps mount inline (out side of your gas tank), most commonly rear center under your car or truck. Each Bosch 044 inline fuel pump provides 300LPH of flow and operate at an amazing 72.5PSI. Bosch 044 fuel pumps are comparable to the Walbro 255LPH high pressure inline fuel pumps which can both support vehicles for up to 600-700 horse power. Can be used in sequence with an intank Walbro or Bosch 040 fuel pump.
He owns a performance shop and uses these pumps on alot of 9 and 10 second hondas and older musclecars with efi and says he has never has one fail and had the one on his low 9 second honda for almost 5 years now. I know these are rice rockets but thats still respectable no matter who you are.
Anyone think this pump wouldnt support 500rwhp @50psi?
