dipstick question

Ok,
On my dipstick the little washer, half of its missing up there at the top.. yeah. Theres oil coming out when i drive around.. Now im wondering if that oil should be coming out my dipstick.. even with that messed up seal. Or washer.

Want to stop this leak.

you talking about the o-ring on the t-handle of the dipstick? if so then yes you need it to seal the dipstick tube. crank case pressure will cause oil to come up the tube and come out like your describing

Year make sure its not broke and just replace the o-ring and you'll be fine
