I have a 01 with drum brakes. Rules say, needs to have 4 wheel working brakes. I want to run duals for pulling. Can I use 02 disc brake setup and run 16" dually rims? I can find 16" dually rims but 17" are harder to come by. Just trying to stay with 16" tires on all 4 corners.

not without alot of work. 16" dually wheels will not fit over the disk brake setup. If you run a 2" spacer and cut your calipers and caliper brackets in half (remove the outside half) then it can be made to work.

You have a dually already or want to convert a single wheel? I swapped brakes on my single wheel and all I needed was spacers from arrowtech to convert to a dually and run the 16" wheels. The spacers are also supposed to make the distance from the springs the same as a dually although I think they are a little wider. You can find cheaper spacers on Ebay that are aluminum. Look for the lugs there too unless you already have them. Advance and other auto parts want $10/ea for them.

Hyroshok, what brakes did you swap? You remove the drum setup and put disc setup on?

I just got a whole new axle from an 01. It just has four bolts that the backing plate attaches with (both drum and disc). I got a sweet deal cuz it had a locker in it. The 01-02s will work with 16" rims, but 03 and up need 17" rims. Search craigslist and junk yards and see what you can find.
