Dodge Factory Fog Light Wiring

A work in progress......I cut off all the wires for both sets of PIAA lights. I soldered and wired in high end weatherproof male/female connectors, which will make install and removal a breeze.

I have the PIAA 510 Series 4" Ion Crystal Fog Lights mounted:

Wiring question: To really simplify things and have alot less wiring clutter (not to mention not having to mount another light switch)..........can I re-use the stock factory Dodge fog light wiring harness and factory fog light switch for just the PIAA fog lights??

All I would really have to do it cut off the factory fog light wiring harness connectors and they should just plug in.....RIGHT? or no?
 
Depends. What was the wattage of the stock bulbs? What's the wattage of the new Piaas?
 
Ok....then you will be ok. Most factory fog light bulbs are 35 watt. That extra draw causes long term problems....nothing that pops up right away.
