Does rim width affect tire diameter?

Currently running 6 315.75.16 Courser CTs on my dually. Back rims are 16x6 and front rims are 16x8. If I go to a 16x10 in the front will it have much affect on the overall diameter of the tire? Im thinking that it wont, but if it does the difference will be negligable, but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks
Josh

It will effect it, do some digging on the web, I have seen some charts that show mounted wheel width.

If you fit 315s on a 6" wide wheel they are ballooned out to more than 35" diameter in the middle (unless you keep the tire pressure way down). That being said, the difference for pulling a sled probably won't matter much. I wouldn't run it in 4WD on the street with that setup.
