Anybody replaced a door hinge before? Mine is a little beat/bent up on my 96. Looks like a bolt is put in from the inside. Can you get to the bolts by taking off the brake pedal?

Also where is a good place to get them?

Think I got to mine without removing the E brake pedal, just pulled the plastic panel, socket-extention-ect. Didn't do upper though.
Also bought the hinges from dealer, rather high $.
Would suggest shopping if on budget.

Bought both for mine only to find I just needed the lower, for now.
Sure feels better after repair.

That upper hinge is a booger to replace. The one bolt from the inside will test your patience.

Yeah it tested my patience not near as bad as the top nut for the park brake....

All and all hinge wasn't too bad to replace...$89 from dodge for a new upper hinge. Had to loosen the bottom hinge up as well to adjust the door.

My buddy just bought a 96 dodge earlier this year...and he surprised me when he replaced both hinge's on the drivers side door instead of doing bushings. He said the hinges weren't that bad.....guess I shouldn't be surprised he wouldn't be to bothered at dropped $170. LOL

Actually, there is no bushing available for this model. Been there with some that were supposed to fit and wound up drilling the hinge to make them fit.
