I have a 2002 cummins ho w an nv5600. Shift great normal chatter and stuff makes a noise when you press clutch pedal all that. Is it normal to have occasional rough downshifts? It feels like it takes a second to fully engage the gear. Possibly because its heavier than a stock than a stock unit? Changing my fluid w amsoil synchromesh this week. And installing fast coolers as well.
 
Well my nv5600 is kinda the same way... its doesnt downshift rough, but it takes a lil bit and some pressure on the shifter sometimes.. its not gonna shift like a car..
 
Ok good enough for me. Just wanted to mske sure I wasnt doing something wrong or something wasnt installed right
 
Matching rpm's will help a lot, it'll be easier on the synchros too.
