DPF delete

WELLLLL. Arent you guys dead here. Tell me what ya know. Did you look into it? Did you think it was crap? Did I just f@#$ everything up or what? Some posts on something would be nice. Or do you guys just never break. LOL

KEM was selling a delete. I know one person that was running it and was happy with it. I heard the company that developed the tuner was threatened by the EPA and stopped all testing on DPF deletes. I'm not sure if there still doing anything with KEM.

So far SCT doesn't have a delete, but I hear they are working on one. Most companies have stopped working on them since EPA has been threating companies. Ford sells trucks to the coal mines that don't have DPF so its defiantly doable.

So wouldn't those trucks have a diffrent PCM on them as well?

That was all debugged... via a number of people. There was no such thing as a mining truck. They sell Superduty's to mexico without DPF's.

I think it was TwinTurboStroker over on Powerstroke.org that is running the KEP delete system. He's complained a little about how the truck's shifting with the delete program, but since he gutted the DPF, at least his truck's running now, instead of being stuck in constant regen. Someone over on The Diesel Garage has posted several times that SCT is coming out with the delete programming within the next month or so. They're supposedly in the final stages of testing now. Good luck and let us know what you end up doing...

I that with the sct you can custom tune to shut it off just what I have heard not sure though

shutting off the regen was the toughest part from what I saw from TwinTurboStroker on the .org...

he now has been getting several tunes since then and the thing gets GREAT mileage (close to mid 20's on the hwy) and has good power all in a dually!

He used KEM programs... he gutted his DPF and CAT (there are more on CAT's on the truck also...can't remember the exact #) so it looks stock... just doesn't run that way!

This is a message I recieved from alexlaughlin. Anyone know this cat?

Dr. Performance has a DPF delete pipe that exactly like the stock one. Post a thread and explain this. also explain we have a module and injectors also for the 6.4

Delete Tunes and Delete pipe

We have the Tunes and the pipe.
There were a few of us that had the tunes in the beginning and we were using the flashpaq with custom delete tunes in it. Superchips stepped in and said no more no matter what. Alot of people are waiting on SCT as well as us we have the tunes just no way to custom tune the livewire at this time.
Because of this we went another way for now we have a tuner that has a full set of digital gauges And three DPF delete tunes.

looks like you just helped him

Well consider this Powerstroke7.3...with you saying it, he can have a clause if the EPA investigates him...for example "I never said that, it's the internet might be rumors" and say it's a bunch of talk. Maybe give him time to hide atleast some of the stuff?:what:

Not sure if it's what he was after but could be a part of it.

BAP, with the "tunes" you are saying are they performance tunes or just tunes to get rid of the DPF?

thanks!

Blue01F250 for some reason my Messaging thing on here isnt working. could you talk more about the guy with the KEM programs and gutted exhaust. Im hearing all sorts of stuff about horrible gas mileage and id really like to know how to get it as good as i can without voiding my warranty.

well ive been posting up on a local muscle car forum which has some diesel tech's.

they are saying that if you do the DPF delete will completely screw up the trucks because something about the motor builds up too much carbon so the motor wont last long.
