Weatherford, TX (January 14, 2008)— After four consecutive years of being one of the leading race teams in the DHRA, not to mention being the current World Record Holder’s for Pro Stock (fastest pick up class), Dr. Performance is pleased to announce their entry into the DHRA for another exciting year of racing.
Nitro Series:
Many of you many have seen this exciting 8-second pick up truck over the past four years. This truck was the first in the 9’s, first in the 8’s and has been the world’s quickest pickup truck almost since its inception. Dr. Performance’s Nitro Series will be controlled down the track by Charlie Stewart and be leading the team this season once again.
BrakeSmart Dragster:
With a record of 1 appearance for 1 win, the BrakeSmart dragster made its debut at the Houston Nationals in 2007, qualifying as the quickest diesel and won its maiden event. Powered by a Dr. Performance 5.9 L 24 valve p-pump Cummins and driven by Alex Laughlin, this dragster provides a combination of power and agility to keep a look out for in 2008. The BrakeSmart Dragster may very well be the first diesel in the 6’s.
