My issue
My Drag Comp is working great BUT in order to get past my "rev limiter" Id have to go with a Smarty OR a BD RAD. I want TOP END so there goes the SMARTY and I want my gauges full time so there goes the BD RAD Darn 2001!

Drag Comp OR Adrenaline? should I hold onto the Drag or sell and get the Adrenaline?

Beta Testers... anyone with twins? How about some feedback from those who went from a COMP to the Adrenaline?!? AND info on the power as well from the betas!

Thanks Guys!!!
Ian

The box has yet to show proof with a dyno sheet, remember what you mentioned in another thread about a graph. I hope it pans out, so to date all the adrenaline has got is Forum Chatter.

I need something, everyone seems to have given up on the VP crowd! Sooo Im stuck with a motor that cant boost launch with but cant do any truck pulls since its a auto...

yeah I want to see some dyno/'vids of this new box!!! just to make sure they are making the claimed "180hp/4XX? torque"

Id like a redline but they are hard to come by at a great price:bang

I agree... especially when you live in Michigan.

Go see hawk, you'll like it. I have 2 customers pulling 3rd gens with 47's in them that he built. One guy has 65 hooks on his auto and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Ive pulled but I cant compete with Jerrod and Rich with there manuals.

The smarty I'll lost top end and the Rad Ill lose gauges which I dont like.

The Redline just seems a little too radical for street play but then again I havent rode in or seen a truck up close with a redline....

The Smarty will get you the spool of a RAD

but will the smarty hinder his top end??? this was something i was trying to figure out when i was stacking my comp w/ the smarty...and eventually came to the conclusion it was and sold it for text books

It did not change my top end. It just gets me lit sooner and ramps the power up on the dyno sooner. Peak power and torque were even a tick higher but nothing worth talking about.

I also have a RAD in my truck, I think that the smarty has it covered for bottom end..... top end, rad has that covered.

Sad truth, power curve falls off anyway even tho it continues to fuel for a few more hundred RPM.... so I leave the RAD alone and really should put it up for sale here.

you said the same thing about twins, is it worth the money

u have two trucks tho right??

yeah. the 06 is for work so I cant turn that into a toy even though its going down the same path as my 01 took:bang

I stacked the Comp with a Smarty at the New Era Pull and wasnt impressed... but Ill have to try it again with the hair dryers. C'mon bob help us VP guys out!!! a 4000 fueling curve would be great as well as some more fine tunning :rockwoot:

thats what i thought. which is why i think the redline wouldnt be too radical for a street/strip application. especially for a guy that has a back up if the competition/toy truck goes down.

i thought the RAD was strictly meant to eliminate torque management...in the 01 and 02 trucks

That and it stretches the Fueling a few hundred RPMS

To elaborate, the RAD has a 3 position switch.... Position one is off, middle position is low end fueling, third position is Both low end and extended range
