Draw Straw II Install

I'm going to be installing a draw straw II in a couple weeks on my 01 with an in-tank pump. How do I make sure the in-tank pump doesn't work but I still have my fuel level gauge work properly?

I know the return line should stay attached to the in-tank pump but the wiring to the in-tank pump is what's got me wondering.

Do I just tap into the "Hot Wire" (green wire) that goes to the in-tank pump and run it to the Raptor relay.

It said for me to hook to that power wire and pull lines but I used different power for my ad and kept power to sending unit

If you unplug that harness then doesn't it kill your fuel tank gauge?

Are you talking about where the original Carter pump is mounted on the side of the block?
