is it ok to use a brass fitting in the manifold, i know it goes right to copper line, which has a similar melting point. From what i found, brass melts at 1652-1724*F

is this something i need to worry about?

Brass works fine. Use a few ft of coiled copper then u can switch back to plastic if u want.

yeah, thats what i have now, just wanted to make sure it wasnt going to cause issues.

now if i could just get those piece of **** autometer fittings to stop leaking.

My Autometer fittings work flawlessly. Have you used teflon on the fittings?

ive tried everything, followed auto meter's instructions on how they wanted them tightened, atleast 50% of the compression fittings have leaked. im going to 1/4" push lock.
