drive pressure numbers

I hooked up a drive pressure gauge on my truck and I have some numbers for you guys. at 10 psi of boost I only see 3 or 4 psi of drive pressure. at wot I see 52 psi of boost and 48 psi of drive pressure with no water. At wot I see 52 psi of boost and 56 psi of drive pressure with water full on. I did notice that with the water on the gauge flutters + or - 2 or 3 psi. with these numbers what do you guys think about them? thanks Rob
 
pretty damn good, i would look for a leak in the drive pressure side of the gauge that 4-5 at 10psi has me sceptical. What charger are you running?
 
with my gate set for 44 psi on #2 my truck made 50 with water

reading boost with autometer 100 psi oil pressure gauge

wonder why yours is same with or w/o the water?

am i reading it wrong? 4-5psi drive pressure to make 10psi of boost? i'm not being a smart ass but i would expect the drive pressure to be a little closer to the boost. If thats correct thats awsome, and i'm probably that unfamiliar with drive pressure but it's not clicking in my head for some reason how that big of a difference is possible? help me understand.
 
That big turbine wheel should flow like that at low boost, correct? That is my understanding.
 
I can not find any leaks in the drive pressure line. I even replaced the fittings and the plastic line. so I guess it is right.
 
Make sure everything is clean. I was having the same issues, turns out I plugged my line with soot. I went to a bigger line and that seemed to fix the issue. I've never heard of drive pressure lower than boost pressure.
 
forrest what turbo were you running on that old truck? It makes me want to take a look at my drive pressures... but thats not happening anytime soon with my head cracked.
 
sps62 on a ported head...

granted, that was with 215 injectors and a 3kGSK, when I put the DDP4's back in and a 4K kit, drive pressure was burried at 55psi of boost. I backed the boost off till I got 1:1, which was at 48psi
 
My 62/71/13ss has roughly 5psi drive pressure at 10-12psi of boost and ~45psi of drive pressure at ~45psi of boost.
