So I put a drive pressure gauge on my truck last night, and I'm kind of surprised my drive pressure is lower than my boost on my 66/71/14. Cruising it is only 2psi lower but when I stand on it it falls 5 psi lower. I'm not worried about it being lower but was wondering what it means if anything. My guess is that i'm not spinning this turbo to its full potential. So i'm wondering if I should get bigger injectors or maybe a little nitrous to spin it harder. What do you guys think?

not if he's on stock injectors... my sps62 made 50psi of drive pressure at 55psi of boost w/ stoc 215 injectors at 3,000RPM

how did you hook up the gauge, i plan to use copper tubeing and a 100psi oil pressure gauge

my prostreet 66 has an average of 2 psi less drive pressure than boost numbers at part throttle, and once over 25 psi boost then drive pressure is about 2 psi more than boost up to the gated 45 psi boost

I don't see why people use so much tubing on their setups... maybe that's why they're having problems with clogging? I run 2-3 vertical coils about 2-3" in diameter. with an inch or so of distance between each coil (vs. the ten miles of touching horizontal coils you see on lots of setups) and along the cowl and then union to nylon to go into the cab.

there isn't any exhaust flow, so the only heat is just heat transfer through the metal itself... the coils create more distance, help with copper's tendancy to work harden.

I used maybe a foot that I coiled around a half inch drive one and quarter socket I had. its about six coils maybe.

well i got a 100psi oil psi gauge 10' of copper tubing, the plastic tubing that came with the gauge. ill probly use 4-5' of the copper tubing. i was thinkin using horizantal coils.

gauge $20
tubing and fittings $10
ill get some pictures and pressure's when i get it done. im running 50 lbs.....i have no idea what the dp will be
