:Cheer:drive pressure gauge? does anyone run one? I have one hooked up using 1/8 tubing, 1/4 ss coil out of the manifold, one way check valve. problem is that the tubing gets plugged up after 2 days. is there anywhere else to hook it to? do I need bigger tubing or what? can anyone help me out.

I used 3/16" copper tubing and put some steel wool in the end with the sensor to act as a filter. I am running ISSPRO Performax gauges with the ESP for data logging. Sweet setup.

Maybe try a little bigger tubing and some steel wool to keep from plugging the tubing up with stuff.

sounds like your makin a crack pipe.....

yeah with that small of line and no filter its bound to clog.....

to recall peak drive pressure on a mechanical gauge to help dial in the turbo, timing, fueling, etc. so I shoud use 3/16 or 1/4 inch copper line with steel wool. what size of steel wool and how much? Thanks guys Steve

I would think 3/16" would be big enough. As far as what size steel wool I don't remember what size I used. I bought a 3 pack that had fine, medium and coarse. I think I used the medium wool. I only used enough to pack into the end of the brass fitting that I attached the sensor to.

turbo is not wastegated but with the check valve in recall mode it holds pressure and when you turn it to normal operation it relives the pressure out of the switch to atmoshere and works like a normal gauge. Thaks for the help on the steel wool idea and is the manifold the best place for it?

That is where I put mine is in the manifold. My ATS 3 piece has 3 ports. 2 on top for pyros and 1 on bottom for the copper line. At least that is how I set mine up. 1 pyro is for TST and 1 is for gauge.

4-6' of 1/4" copper tubing, 1/4" compression x 1/2" npt fitting, 1/2" x 2" brass nipple, 1/2" npt x 1/8" compression fitting.
Stuff brass nipple with steel wool and attach fittings. Brass will help dissipate heat and steel wool will filter soot. Been runnning ours for about 3 weeks now with no clogged guage.

Thanks for the help guys. the 1/4 tubing and steel wool worked great. ran it for 5 days now and still working fine. Thanks again Steve

Glad we could all help. I never would have thought of using steel wool myself as a filter if I hadn't heard it somewhere else. Works great to keep the crud out.

Where did you get your set up from? I'm having a hard time finding details on that system.

Anyone got pics of a drive pressure set up?

I bought a ESP module, Pyro, Turbo Boost and Exhaust Back Pressure gauges from Diesel Manor. It was the best price I could find at the time and there was the $100 rebate from Isspro going on. I am sure there is other vendors out there with just as good of prices. I have dealt with Diesel Manor in the past and always been treated good.

Looks like the rebate is still going on until May 15th. I think you have to have them purchased by then. Might want to ask Michael Pliska on here about it for sure.
