Will a drive shaft from a single can long bed work on a quad cab short bed?? I'm swapping in a 6 speed from a single cab and I have a quad cab..
 
Well how in the hell do u think I can use a tape measure when the transmission isn't in the truck so u can exactly measure it... I'm not an idiot I have common sense. Thanks for your useless input though. The only thing I'm asking is if anyone knows if the truck frame length on a sclb is the same on a qcsb and I don't have another frame to measure
 
dont get your panties in a bunch and before asking a simple question that could be answered if you search...

no the QC wheelbase is 4 in longer so that would leave me to believe that the drive shaft wont work
 
I just get tired of asking a question and getting smart a$s remarks from everyone abd I search all day long before I post a question but if my auto is 5 inches shorter than my 6 speed and the qc is 4" longer then it might be close
 
well if you got the d-shaft then try it when its together...if it doesnt work then you know what you need to do from there....

im not tryin to be a complete ass but its not hard to figure out
 
Yea and I'm just trying to figure it out before so when I put it together it's done and I don't have to wait a week to get my drive shaft lengthened
 
Most good driveline shops can offer 1 day turnaround if you're down. Might cost a lil more but its worth it. Thats what I did when I swapped to a DHD
