Driveshaft lengths?

hey guys. first post on here. came from the cummins forum. anyway my question is i bought a nv4500 the other day for my 2wd 97 SCLB. I have a 47re in right now. for the driveshaft will the stock one need to be lengthened or shortened to work? or will the stock one work unmodified? i tried finding the length of the two but could only find the length of the 5 spd w/o the bell housing. thx.
 
Yokes at the trans are different. Different output shafts. Your best bet is to find a shaft off the donor truck. I used the front half of the 5-speed shaft, had to shorten it @ 1/2" if I remember correctly, and the rear half of the auto shaft.
 
Can't answer that question. What I told you is all I can remember. You'll get like this too some day...........
