Hey guys I changed out my auto to a NV4500 and also took the dana 70 and put a dana 80 in my 96 2500. What I'm needing to know is if I need to change the length of my driveshaft? Thanks

Measure the legth of the auto and 5 speed that would tell you the difference.

IIRC the rear driveshaft for a RC/LB Dana 80, NV4500, DHD T-case is like 81 inches joint center to joint center. Best bet would be to find a buddy with a truck set up like yours will be and measure.

I did the auto swap to an NV4500 on mine. I had the drive shaft off the auto and the standard. Took some measurements my local shop had informed me on and then they built one out of the two, with new u-joints and c-bearing for less than $500.
