I am looking to drop my truck just a hair or 2 and I'm wondering where or if yall knew where to get the kits for a 2500?

Heath, havent found much for the second gen in drop kits. I know some of the 3rd gen 2wd guys are using drop shackles from Don Thuren. Might see if he makes something for the 2nd gen. You wanting the front and rear lower or just rear even lower? You could always take out some leafs and add air bags if you tow.

Just go down to the livestock auction get ya a couple of big girls to ride in the back...

Thanks Daniel. I'll look into that.

And Tj, what do I do about the front? Get a rack and hang them off the front too?

Sounds like Heath done wore out all the BIG girls. Now he's goin for the EXTRA LARGE ones!! Lower it so they can git in!!

For the front. I haven't seen anything better than cutting the coils. I assume going to a full airbag setup is out of budget for you like it is for me.

Oh yeah it's wwwaaayy out for me. I just want like. 2-3 or something like that.

I thought that Belltech or Hotchkis made kits?

Cutting the coils isnt that bad, you could just make a front rack and hang some BBW's off the front and fill the bed full. They should break down the springs enough to lower it 4-6"

talk to crabelle he dropped his truck not to long ago and i know he used drop knuckles in the front.

I have the blocks at the shop. Ill take some pics and we'll see if that what you need.

I could put a rack on the front, let the bbw's hang off the front then ill have something good to look at.

I don't want to cut the coils because everything I have been in has made the ride quality even worse. Of course I don't believe it can get much worse in this turd.

handling and racing safety are very important.

I didnt notice a difference in my truck after. It would hit the bump stops easier just due to being closer to them.

The springs arent a variable rate so I se no reason it would change on their end.

A local off road shop here in San Antonio could order e some 2 inch lowering shackles for 80 bucks

this is actually lowered alot in the rear. everything removed except main leaf and one more. 2" drop shackle. the short bed just makes it look higher. its better now with the fuel cell, battery and water/air intercooler reservoir in the bed.

front is one coil cut off, and half the bump stop removed. it dropped it 2" and it was completely sitting on the bump stop
