Duramax 6.0?

thinking about buying this

I've got a powerstroke, had cummins trucks, but i have never, nor do i have any friends with, a duramax truck. So i dont really know anything about them at all, i know i know its sad....
Is this a normal engine? is it out of a medium duty truck or something?
Its gotta be better than my 02 7.3 with cast rods tho right, lol.:bang
